The first week of August, we took a week long family trip to Seattle. Patrick really wanted a good vacation as a kind of reward for surviving this past year. We wanted to explore some place new and Seattle fit the bill. We decided to go easy and take two days to get there. On the way, we stopped at my college mate's home in Richland, Washington. The girls enjoyed playing in Jennifer's backyard and it was nice to talk with her and her husband. I haven't physically seen her since the fall before my mission in 1998. I am not old. (I'll just repeat that mantra awhile)
