Peek-a-Boo

This is Anna's favorite game to play. Rachael never liked it that much. I'm so glad Anna does. Isn't she a cutie?

My Little Songwriter

I'm pretty sure this is the best song ever.

Blogger Fail

I just looked at my list of posts and noticed that some of them had failed to be published. The next two posts are from over two months ago. Stupid phone app.

Potty Time

After a somewhat arduous journey, Rachael is now potty trained. For a long while she was scared of the toilet. Then she would sit and not do a thing. After that, she started going at school, but never at home. Then she would go at home occasionally, but would request a diaper if she even remotely felt like needing to poo. Sometime about a week and a half ago, it clicked...it may have been the ice cream I offered for pooping in the potty  or the fact that I just bought a jumbo box of size 5's at Sam's Club. Who knows. We're diaper free now with a 60% success rate at night.
Just close your eyes and imagine my happy dance.

My Little Cupid

I am so in love! Look at those little curls. What could be sweeter?

Cindy's House

I found Rachael in her room packing. She informed me, "I have all the stuff in my backpack so I can go to Cindy's house." I didn't think she knew my mom's first name so I asked, "Who's Cindy?"
"The peacock."
Should I be impressed that she remembered what we named the peacock from the zoo or alarmed that she is already trying to pack up and leave?

The Zoo is Open

All winter long Rachael has periodically informed me that the zoo is closed. I think she really missed it. It opened for the spring last Saturday, so we went today. Rachael practically ran through the first half she was so excited. We saw some of our favorites doing new things, like the swans nesting and being puffed up, the singing dogs regarding us, and the peacock fanning his tail. Hopefully the next time we go more of the animals will be out.

Big Easter Egg Hunt

Today Riverbend Communications hosted a big Easter egg hunt for Idaho Falls in Tautphaus Park. There were hundreds it not thousands of people there. We got there about 5 minutes before it started and had to hike in from South Boulevard since that was the only place there was parking. Each egg had either candy or numbers that could be redeemed for a prize. They had at least 16,000 eggs for 4 groups of kids (broken down by age groups).

This was right as they were getting started. Keep in mind that they told everyone that it should just be kids and no parents. I guess for the 3 and under that just cannot be helped.

Getting towards the end here. Rachel will go into the clearing and pickup even more eggs.

All done now and Rachael was able to grab quite a few eggs. In fact she had 5 of them that had numbers. After this point it was a mad rush to get to the prize tent to redeem the numbers. We let Rachael play on the slide while we waited for the line to die down. In the end we got 4 gift cards to Papa Murphy's for a free mini pizza and one ticket for a youth to go to the Idaho Museum.

Anna's One Year Birthday

Okay so I am terrible about putting information on the blog. Here are some photos that I took during Anna's 1 year birthday party. Sorry it is so late.
