Getting Out

I think I had a similar post about this time last year. Apparently, we just need to get out of the house right about now. We had a beautiful day last week with very little wind and a lot of sunshine: perfect for a walk by the river. Rachael still loves to chase the ducks and geese. The noises in this video are coming from her. It hurts my throat to even listen to her do this.

I love that the ice follows the roughness of the falling water.

The girls love trying out all the different benches at the river. They didn't want to sit on this one too long, the metal was pretty cold in the shade.

This goose was coming to investigate the pinecones Rachael was throwing out onto the ice.

There are new rules about not feeding the fowls at the Falls. I don't think these ducks have caught on yet. They were really close.

Sleepy

Anna fell asleep while watching Patrick playing a game. It was pretty funny to watch him try to get her off his shoulder. Ok, maybe I should have helped him instead of filming.  What the clip doesn't show is that he tried for about a minute or two before this to get her unsuccessfully.

Post-Christmas Sledding

WARNING: Picture Heavy Post!

The day after Christmas, we all went sledding (minus Brett who had to work) southwest of Lehi on the way to Tooelle. Rachael had been worried all week about sledding, stating that she had never done it and didn't know how to do it. She shouldn't have worried. I lost count of how many times she went up and down the hill all on her own. She loved it.

We ate hot dogs we cooked on the fire for lunch. Then it was back to the hill for a little bit longer before we started to lose the sun.

Ending with one very tired little girl.
